For example I have two executables in the same directory. (/cygdrive/c/WINNT/system32) The one which is called "notepad.exe" works with calling "notepad" or "notepad.exe" the other one "ipconfig.exe" only works with calling "ipconfig" but not with "ipconfig.exe".
