The files are put into a subdirectory named 'latest'. Besides 'setup.exe' and the 'latest' subdirectory, there are no other files. I open a DOS window in this subdirectory, and run 'setup.exe' from the command prompt. It opens the same GUI window that downloaded the files, and I select to install from the current directory. It changes to show files loading, and finishes with no errors. I try running from the menu entry installed, a text mode window opens with the title '/usr/bin', and I receive this: --------------------------------------------------------------------- D:\CYGWIN\BIN\ID.EXE: *** could not load user32.dll, Win32 error 0 D:\CYGWIN\BIN\MKDIR.EXE: *** could not load user32.dll, Win32 error 0 BASH.EXE: cd: /home/: No such file or directory bwaldow AT DEFAULT /usr/bin $ pwd /usr/bin bwaldow AT DEFAULT /usr/bin $ ls C:\CYGWIN\BIN\LS.EXE: *** could not load user32.dll, Win32 error 0 bwaldow AT DEFAULT /usr/bin $ --------------------------------------------------------------------- What should I do different? Windows 95 OSR2.1 4.00.950 B 'setup.exe' doesn't list any version information, but: SETUP EXE 121,344 07-26-00 2:25p from a DOS window: C:\cygwin\bin>cygcheck -s -v -r C:\CYGWIN\BIN\CYGCHECK.EXE: *** could not load user32.dll, Win32 error 0 Thank in advance. regards, Bret -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
