You must install the latest version and then get the Jan 15th snapshot and install that if you plan to get anywhere. Goto Mumit Khan's page and download EGCS-1.1.2 for cygwin and install that over the cygwin installation. Modify the Initial Environment setting from the properties page of the cygwin shortcut and set it to at least 4096.
