I am deciding on a development path = and have=20 downloaded cygnus's cygwin32.
I am running a = win98 OS and=20 trying to make autoconf. I managed to run configure in a bash=20 window
from the Cygnus ICON then
in the directory = c:\usr\local\autoconf-980211\

BASH-2.02$bash --login
bash-2.02$source configure  #it took some time = just to=20 get to this point
first I came up with an error
unknown /bin/sh

then it would kill the spawned shell and = comback
BASH-2.02$

when I changed the configure script to only look for = sh=20 instead of /bin/sh
the configure script worked.

When I ran the makefile
it went partially through then choked on=20 makeinfo.
makeinfo -I. ./autoconf.texi --no_split=20 --output=3Dautoconf.info
makeinfo: not found

Upon further investigation make info was not = included in the=20 sources. Is this standard, or did I miss
something?

P.S. it is my understanding that in = order to=20 build a cross compiler I need, automake, autoconf and perl.
is this=20 correct?

Thank you in advance,
