The FAQ says do this, but it doesn't give the slightest hint what this
setting does (in terms of either Unix or Win32 API).  Can somebody please
illuminate me?

Also, the XEmacs FAQ mentions an envar CYGWIN32.  Is it just a typo (ie.
did the Xemacs people really mean CYGWIN) or are these 2 different envars?

Finally, with or without these envars, I get warnings from XEmacs with efs.
The warning says something like "ftp some.host.name seems not a tty. Kill?"
Bash under XEmacs seems to run fine, though, so it could just be the
braindead Windows ftp program.
