Then if you'll send along a `dir' from the directory and the results of a `ls -t' run using strace then I'll take a look at this. To use strace, set the STRACE environment variable to 1,somefile. somefile will then contain a lot of strace information when you're done. -chris In article <6034D5FA307AD211A9160008C724FD4A2802AD DOT cygnus DOT gnu-win32 AT ntdub0e DOT trintech DOT ie>, Colman Curtin wrote: >On some configure scripts my build environment is reported as not being sane >as newly created files are older than existing ones as reported by ls -Lt. >I checked my alias for ls, which just added colour listings, and renamed it >in case it was causing problems but configure scripts still do not work. > >any ideas on what to do next? > >system: nt4 sp3 ntfs b20.1 latest coolview > >thanks, > >Colman Curtin Software Team Leader >*Trintech - The Secure Way to Pay* >Trintech Technologies Ltd, >South County Business Park, >Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. >Tel: +353-1-207-4000 >Fax: +353-1-207-4015 >mailto:colman DOT curtin AT trintech DOT com >http://www.trintech.com/ >- >For help on using this list (especially unsubscribing), send a message to >"gnu-win32-request AT cygnus DOT com" with one line of text: "help". -- cgf AT cygnus DOT com http://www.cygnus.com/
