People are right, this really isn't the place to discuss the GPL, not least
because people get the facts wrong. See 3b of GPL v2 - he can elect to offer
the source on (for example) CD instead.

Can we have a new mailing list please? Something like 
never-ending-tedious-gpl-discussions@cygwin.com? I have set the
Reply-To accordingly.
