I thought that that rebase discussion might have something to do with 
this but my quick look at it did not show me anything related to my 
specific error message. IIRC the rebase discussion was about trying to 
get some optional Apache module running. AFAICT my configuration is not 
trying to do anything special WRT optional Apache modules.

Looks like I need to more fully read and comprehend the rebase stuff.
