Subject: text vs binary in setup.exe
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

Hi-

I was unable to find information about the text/binary/system/user radio
buttons
in setup.exe. I installed by selecting the binary option, with the
result that bash commands like

value=`cat file`

generate variables that have trailing \r\n which cause trouble when used

as arguments to gawk etc. I assume I should check TEXT and reinstall?
Any documentation on these options?

Sincerely,

Paul Wessel
