Subject: B18: problem with file-format conversion MSDOS->UNIX
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-2
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

Hallo,

I use the bash version 1.14.7(2) on NT 4.0.

This bash has following behaviour:
If a file with ascii-text is in MSDOS-mode, which means it has
the CR/LF at end of line, the MSDOS-specific characters (<cr>)
are omitted when the file is read, for example by "od -x".

How can this behaviour be suppressed?
I need the contents of the file unfiltered.

Thanks in advance for Your reply.

sincerely
Helmut Dipper
