Serguei Okhapkine (http://miracle.geol.msu.ru/sos/) and Andy Piper
(ftp://ftp.franken.de/pub/win32/develop/gnuwin32/cygwin32/porters/Piper_Andy
/)
have precompiled libs.

I grabbed them from the Open Group
(http://www.opengroup.org/tech/desktop/x/) and they built fine.
