Apparently, the egcs snapshots are now requiring software which supports
configure directives of the form AC_XXXX(yyyy), probably requiring a version
of autoconf which may not have been ported to cygwin. Is this correct, or has
someone done the port? Up to now, it was sufficient to make minor changes to
autoconf-2.1.2. I have not been able to figure out why the egcs supplied
version of autoconf doesn't work with cygwin.
