W95 is fairly particular about software configuration, but I've had success
with the following:

W95 OSR25/USB
cygwin-b19
coolview
bash installed as /bin/sh (gnu 2.02 works well)
make-3.77 
binutils 2.9.1 preferred for performance reasons
