   The fix I implemented, was to add
   	#undef D_INO_IN_DIRENT
   after the #includes in rm.c

Yes, but remember the problem also affects find and who-knows which
other programs.  Perhaps tar too?
   
   This should give a good clue as to what the real problem is
   here.
