Can gnu-win32 be considered a valid platform candidate in auto*?

If so, have anyone provided porting information for the cygwin32
(gnuwin32?) platform to the maintainers of autoconf and automake?

This would remove the annoying
"Invalid configuration `i386-unknown-cygwin32':
system `cygwin32' not recognized

It might not help now, but when configuring packages in the future.
