As you noticed, gdb, tcl, and tk all needed some hand-tweaking.  That
will vanish eventually.

No, the sources on the ftp site are the ones I used to make the release.
If you configure with --prefix set to /install and --exec-prefix set to
/install/H-i386-cygwin32 then you would get the structure in the
release.
