VC++4.2 doesn't produce STABS symbols describing types and doesn't
label variables with type information, even when directed to produce a
COFF file.  Is there a way to use gdb on programs produced with
VC++4.2?  Looks like most of the information goes into a
proprietary-format .PDB file.  Is it necessary to reverse engineer
this format?  Know of anyone who's done so?
