The problem lies in an exception within cygnu's exception handler. This seems
to trigger another exception that gets trapped by the handler, leading to a
new crash, that calls the handler again etc.

Fix:
When the cygnus exception handler starts, it should reset the exception
handler to its default value... This would avoid infinite loops like the
one you describe.
