I Think, i have found the cause-point of duplicated messages.
(sorry for my bad english ;-)

I found follow lines in headers of many duplicated messages:

[...]
> Received: by uu5.psi.com (5.65b/4.0.071791-PSI/PSINet) via UUCP; id
AA27125 for gnu-win32@cygnus.com; Sat, 1 Feb 97 21:45:58 -0500
[...]
> Received: from cygnus.com by uu5.psi.com (5.65b/4.0.071791-PSI/PSINet)
via SMTP; id AA26892 for peter; Sat, 1 Feb 97 21:42:02 -0500
[...]
i think, the UUCP and the SMTP Messagebases are different or there are no
dupe-checks between 
the messagebases.
the postmaster from uu5.psi.com should fix this problem.
