hmm... this is the second (maybe 3rd attempt to send this message.. ) 
not sure what's happening.. mail to other places seems to make it.. 

anyway, sorry if this comes in twice.. 


what I am trying to do is port some code that uses the 
getservbyport() function... this doesn't seem to be implemented at
this point in time and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a 
workaround..
