Thankyou to all who answered me (Max Gotlib and Tim Endres).
They had the right ideas.

Using the following string in Makefile, g++ compilation works 
without problems:

# CCC is the compiler for C++ (.cc) files.
CCC=g++ -I/usr/local/H-i386-cygwin32/i386-cygwin32/include

where /usr/local is my cygwin-home.
