We have been attempting to use the September 5 release of software to
replace what we had been doing with a Linux system. So far we have
found the following differences:
gunzip -cd file | tar xvf - fails when run in a command window
				    outside of bash

cat file >>file - truncates file; we tar, gunzip, and split
files so our product release will fit on a 3.5" floppies

tar one.tar.gz - did not unpack into the
H-i386-cygwin32 like the other files did

uname -r - returns 4.0, have not been able to tell where it gets
		   this value from

The upper/lower case of file names does not appear to get handled
consistantly.

We can provide you sample of our product installation to test with if
someone is interested in solving these differences. We could really use
a "more or less" command if they have been ported. Thanks for the hard
efforts to port this software.
