Just another idea: do both, an a.out and a copy with .exe, this would 
help guys like me, who are using "autoconfigure stuff" ;-) 
I know.. this doubles the used space on harddisk, but that doesnt 
seems ab problem? 
Or, include an variable in the environment, where this thing could 
be set like anybody wants.
