Thanks for the help in installing info.
There is also another path you can follow to have info docs readable in NT.
Look at http://www.itribe.net/virtunix/winhelp-man-pages/ and you will find
info files converted in windows .hlp files.
You can also do the work yourself followong the links to mkrtf104.zip and
hc505.exe, but you'll have to put your hands on the .texinfo files and
fiddle with them to get them compilable with the 2 utils - they manage only
short file names.

I think both appraches have their advantages, and that they can cohexist.
