I guess you are lacking:
- header files
- libraries
that usually come with the development package of your system. pgcc can't
supply these.
You'd better look for a really "free" operating system, like Linux, which
comes with everything you need, no strings attached.
PS: I'm rather pleased to receive mail from an amiga system ;)
