Hi,

I already spent more than a week to resolve the following problems. I am
not in mailing list. Would u please let me know the way out.

Problem 1.

# rpm -i -v -U glibc-2_0_7-13_i586.rpm
Installing glibc-2_0_7-13_i586.rpm
/usr/bin/ldd conflicts with file from ld.so-1.7.14-4
/etc/rpc conflicts with file from setup-1.4-0
/usr/share/locale/locale.alias conflicts with file from gettext-0.10-3
/usr/bin/rpcgen conflicts with file from NetKit-B-0.08-4
error: glibc-2_0_7-13_i586.rpm cannot be installed

Problem 2.
# rpm -i -v -U pgcc-1_1-1_i586.rpm
failed dependencies:
        binutils >= 2.8.1.0.1 is needed by pgcc-1.1-1
        ld-linux.so.2 is needed by pgcc-1.1-1
        libc.so.6 is needed by pgcc-1.1-1

Problem 3.
# rpm -i -v -U plibstdc++-2_9_0-1_i586.rpm
failed dependencies:
        ld-linux.so.2 is needed by plibstdc++-2.9.0-1
        libc.so.6 is needed by plibstdc++-2.9.0-1
        libm.so.6 is needed by plibstdc++-2.9.0-1

Problem 4.

# rpm -i -v -U ld_so-1_9_5-6_i586.rpm
failed dependencies:
        filesystem   is needed by ld.so-1.9.5-6

I am running on kernel 2.0.9 ; libc.so.5.4.44 ; libm.so.5.0.9;
ld-linux.so.1.7.14
