| Subject: | Can't build XFree86 with pgcc v1.1a |

I downloaded and installed the XFree86 source (in RPM package
XFree86-3.3.3.2-18.src.rpm) then attempted to build the binaries. No
errors are seen in untar'ing and configuring the XFree86 source files with
this command:
rpm -bc /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/XFree86-3.3.3.2.spec
I've uninstalled gcc from my RedHat v5.1 system and installed pgcc v1.1a as
my default compiler. I haven't seen the following error when building any
other source files.
I get a fatal error when compiling each C source file. The problem is the
string "LinuxMachineDefines", which is apparently undefined on my system.
Here's a fragment of the compiler command line for each file:
... -Dlinux LinuxMachineDefines -D_POSIX_C_SOURCE_199309L ...
Each attempt to compile a source file ends with this error:
gcc: LinuxMachineDefines: no such file or directory
I have sucessfully built this package on a RH v5.1 system using gcc
v2.7.2.3, so I suspect some interaction with pgcc.
Can anyone shed some light on this undefined string on the compilers
command line when building XFree86?
Thanks.
