Hello,
I just found an abandoned HP Laserjet 4MPlus with his network
card in my street. He is working perfectly with the parallel
interface and stops to complain about the interface module not
ready when I connect him to my little PNW network.
I would like to know if somebody on this list had tried to
integrate such a printer directly to this type of network?
I did some investigations on Google and www.hp.com, but on all
places they talked only about Netware networks. I think I would
need also the program JETADMIN.EXE to set-up the printer from
the network.
I would like very much not to add a parallel printer port to my
main computer and to use the printserver(?) of the Jetdirect
card.
All links and informations are welcomed!
