I've heard from a laptop user who got opendos up and talking who was doing fine until he ran setup and that crashed his system real hard. One thing I've noticed with opendos when I ran dosbook.exe under msdos, opendos doesn't respect screen sizes specifically in terms of lines. I have a 25x80 screen, but with opendos it was always 30x80. I don't know what screen switching was done, but speech synthesizer users generally favor running in mono or cga at most. The ega screens won't speak, and I have my doubts about the "better" resolutions under speech. jude <jdashiel AT eagle1 DOT eaglenet DOT com>
