This is a debug function; it has nothing to do with PostScript output. 
The comment describing the function is wrong.

You can run this code with the Guile command "(page-print)" (in gEDA/gaf, 
you can enter Guile expressions via "Tools > Evaluate Guile Expression…" 
or the keyboard shortcut "G :").
