Thanks to you and the gEDA development team for working on this fix.

It seems that the make check error problem is still with us, though. It 
appears to affect gsymcheck, for previous tests passed. Here is the

Disabling the "make check" allows the build to complete without error, 
and so is my workaround as with previous builds that failed make check.
