I have successfully built, checked, installed, and run on 14.2 now. With
what you have now you just have to change the minimum required versions
in configure.ac and m4/geda-cairo.m4 to match what is on your machine.
Or wait a bit and I think Roland is working on 1.10.2 to fix the issue.
