I have not merged this functionality into translate2geda as yet.

The main caveat is that gEDA PCB cannot use polygonal copper features in
padstacks, or arcs, or arbitrary text. If the footprint requires these
features, it would be worth trying to load the .mod format footprint
directly in pcb-rnd, which supports .mod load natively, and these
additional features.
