Hello Bert,

The extent I can contribute to:

- I always make microcommits

- I tried to refrain from "noisy" modifications, e.g. whitespace cleanup,
formatting changes, unrelated "this could be done better" changes, so
diffs should be clean and to the point

- I tried to accurately mark each commit with a feature tag in the commit
message so it should be easy to collect the changes related to a specific
feature. I also have detailed per feature docmentation (even online) and a
list of the major features (online too) so it'd be easy to pick the
interesting ones.

- explain any time why or how a feature is implemented, answer questions,
explain the code, etc; realtime on IRC or via email.

I know it's much less than doing merges with upstream and sending
ready-to-use patches, but I rather invest my time in more features than
merging (sorry).

Regards,

Igor2
