Subject: [geda-user] [pcb-rnd] scripting in pcb - demo, call for alpha testers and a

Hi all,

since scripting emerged as the most wanted feature in pcb-rnd feature
poll, I've spent some time on merging pcb-gpmi into pcb-rnd. By now I
have a working alpha version that already exposes a lot of the PCB
internals to the scripts (dialog boxes, actions, design objects). A more
detailed list of features illustrated with a screen capture videos can be
found in the devlog at

http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/devlog/20150803a_scriptig.html

Now that the infrastructure is mostly ready, it is cheap to make
script bindings to existing PCB features. There are a lot of features in
PCB - blindly binding them all would take a lot of time. I'd like to set
some priorities, but for that I'd need to know what people would like to
access from scripts.

For this, I invite you to be an alpha tester. Please contact me in private
if you are interested. Note: pcb-rnd can be run from source or can be
installed - in neither case would it clash with your vanilla pcb
installation. Feedback and feature requests of alpha testers will
have more weigth in my priorities.

I think these desktop capture videos would be much better with narration.
My terrible hungarian/german accent keeps me back, tho.
I'm looking for a volunteer with a microphone.

Regards,

Igor2
