I fail to see how this can be considered as a feature, especially
when it did work differently on the previous PCB version.

Back to my original problem (2 layer board, with 1 layer being a
ground plane), what is the preferred way of using the autorouter ?
(for example, should I manually draw the vias + lines on the ground
layer for some nets, then let the autorouter finish the job on the
top layer ?)
