Subject: [geda-user] gschem and gtk version
From: Vladimir Zhbanov <vzhbanov AT gmail DOT com>
To: geda-user <geda-user AT delorie DOT com>
Reply-To: geda-user AT delorie DOT com

Recently trying to build gschem from git I've got the following:
  /tmp/geda-gaf/gschem/src/x_integercb.c:118: undefined reference to
`gtk_combo_box_set_entry_text_column'
  gschem-x_integercb.o: In function `x_integercb_new':
  /tmp/geda-gaf/gschem/src/x_integercb.c:57: undefined reference to
`gtk_combo_box_new_with_entry'

I found that the 'gtk_combo_box_set_entry_text_column' function
was introduced in gtk 2.24 whereas geda-gaf README still reads the
version 2.16.0 or later is needed.
I don't know about 'gtk_combo_box_new_with_entry'. Does it belong
to gtk3?

Could anyone shed some light on this? Which gtk versions are now
required? And could anyone fix the README file then.

(I'm just still using Debian oldstable with gtk
2.20 on my old laptop at work, and I wouldn't like to upgrade it
to not make it very slow.)
