I learned this from your examples, and it vastly declutters schematics. But
gschem autonumber is frustrating because it doesn't neatly fall into
"slotting". It's not just useful for power pins either - I also use it to
split digital and analog sections of ic's like digital pots, radios and the
like.  Were it not for these dissimilar sections, it might be workable to
just use "slot 0" for power.

Once again, this is where the concept of a component UUID based mechanism
could really be handy, rather than using the silk refdes as the component
identifier.
