--047d7b6d96fc27310e04d50071d6 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Thanks Sergey, I found the SL(tm) Modular Connectors http://www.molex.com/molex/products/family?key=sl_connectors&channel=products&chanName=family&pageTitle=Introduction which are locking connectors (critical to my high vibe environment, which I neglected to mention). Thanks Stephen, I was more interested in finding a specific part number for the board connector than I was for finding a pinout, since I will be attaching this to a custom bulkhead connector. Although, now that you mention it, there's no reason not to follow the existing pinout, just in case I ever wanted to hook this up to a standard PC form-factor connector (perhaps for testing). You guys are great! --wpd On Tue, Feb 5, 2013 at 3:25 PM, Stephen Ecob <stephen DOT ecob AT sioi DOT com DOT au>wrote: > The arrangement used on PC motherboards by Asus, Gigabyte and others > is very common and well supported. > They allow two USB ports from a 2x5 100 mil header with 1 pin missing > for keying. > Just download a Gigabyte motherboard manual to see the pinout. > Suitable cables are readily available on eBay: > > http://tinyurl.com/bzq35a2 > > There is also a neweer standard for USB 3 over a 20 pin connector, but > I assume you don't neeed USB3. > --047d7b6d96fc27310e04d50071d6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Thanks Sergey,<div>I found the SL(tm) Modular Connectors</div><div><a href= =3D"http://www.molex.com/molex/products/family?key=3Dsl_connectors&chan= nel=3Dproducts&chanName=3Dfamily&pageTitle=3DIntroduction" target= =3D"_blank">http://www.molex.com/molex/products/family?key=3Dsl_connectors&= amp;channel=3Dproducts&chanName=3Dfamily&pageTitle=3DIntroduction</= a></div> <div><br></div><div>which are locking connectors (critical to my high vibe = environment, which I neglected to mention).</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks= Stephen,</div><div>I was more interested in finding a specific part number= for the board connector than I was for finding a pinout, since I will be a= ttaching this to a custom bulkhead connector. =A0Although, now that you men= tion it, there's no reason not to follow the existing pinout, just in c= ase I ever wanted to hook this up to a standard PC form-factor connector (p= erhaps for testing).</div> <div><br></div><div>You guys are great!</div><div><br></div><div>--wpd</div= ><div><br><br><div class=3D"gmail_quote">On Tue, Feb 5, 2013 at 3:25 PM, St= ephen Ecob <span dir=3D"ltr"><<a href=3D"mailto:stephen DOT ecob AT sioi DOT com DOT au= " target=3D"_blank">stephen DOT ecob AT sioi DOT com DOT au</a>></span> wrote:<br> <blockquote class=3D"gmail_quote" style=3D"margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1p= x #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">The arrangement used on PC motherboards by A= sus, Gigabyte and others<br> is very common and well supported.<br> They allow two USB ports from a 2x5 100 mil header with 1 pin missing<br> for keying.<br> Just download a Gigabyte motherboard manual to see the pinout.<br> Suitable cables are readily available on eBay:<br> <br> <a href=3D"http://tinyurl.com/bzq35a2" target=3D"_blank">http://tinyurl.com= /bzq35a2</a><br> <br> There is also a neweer standard for USB 3 over a 20 pin connector, but<br> I assume you don't neeed USB3.<br> </blockquote></div><br></div> --047d7b6d96fc27310e04d50071d6--
