Ok, I see, preferably for spice it should be spice_dev, drc drc_dev
or the like, maybe its to late to change that.
I think stricter definitions of attributes would be helpful to share
symbols.

In that case, symbol=net would make more sense, it is all about nets 
isn't it ?
