The first one (conditional jump depending on uninitialised value, 
x_highlevel_new_page .. fmin) isn't a problem because the result is never 
used.  I fixed it anyway:

What comes after that is most certainly a consequence of the earlier 
update-on-quit bug as it happens in x_window_close / 
set_selection_adapter, so the problem should now be fixed in `master'.
