I have a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop (running xubuntu 18.04) which I'm
using to run gschem.  It has three 'mouse' buttons which work exactly
as expected in Linux.

However I can't get the middle button to do anything useful in gschem. 

I also tried adding:-

    (middle-button "mousepan")

To my gschemrc file (which has other entries that *do* work) and the
middle button still does nothing.
