From my point of view, the problem here is lack of tutorials with
advertisements and lack of developers who are able/want to immerse into
it. After the second FOSS development wave (started approximately
fifteen years ago) we have lots of people who are afraid of doing
something this way and are waiting for someone who'll do it for them.

Next, (please, don't take these sentences/set of words as something
offensive, I'm afraid I can insult someone by using of wrong
words/expressions since I'm not a native English speaker),
my dear geda developers, I wonder, why John is not in the list of
the geda developers yet? I know he has made significant contributions.

I cannot say anything against Python..., however, support of several
languages within one project with lack of man power (if I correctly cite
DJ, since I'm not able to be certain if I understand correctly what I
say in English yet :)) is an overhead for me. Moreover, we already have
a sort of a plan to develop these language directions. The glib library
already used in geda has bindings for several languages including
Python, AFAIK.
