Roland,
I did download the 1.9.16 release tarball and it did not contain
the ./configure script. I did not download the github snapshot
release as the source tarball name was 1.9.16-20210731.zip and
unzipped to a directory name of lepton-eda-1.9-16-20210731, ergo no
master as part of file name nor directory that would result if I
downloaded the github snapshot.
With regards to the issues with the Debian source packages I did of
course use dpkg-buildpackage. Different end result issues occurred
for the 1.9.13 and 1.9.16 Debian source packages, but in both cases
those different issues arose after the code compiled. I would say
in sense the build of 1.9.16 was the closest to successful as it
ran all the tests, but I suspect based on the counts of the
different test types that I believe the make all would cause to
occur some of those numbers may indicate some failure in the
LeptonEDA tests the make all runs.
I was trying to build the 1.9.16 version from Debian source. I
tried the Debian 1.9.13 as a test to compare to the 1.9.16 results
expecting the 1.9.13 to at least build to the .deb packages. I
took the 1.9.16 release from github to compare to what I thought
was close to successful build results of the Debian 1.9.16 source
package. I was expecting the release source tarball from github to
work only to find the release tarball even when I create
the ./configure script via ./autogen.sh cannot even run the 'make
all' with the prior noted make error for version.h. That means
the Debian source package for 1.9.16 either is not using the same
release source tarball or Debian patches in the Debian source has
corrections to what is a really basic error in the 1.9.16 release
tarball.=20
