huh, that is severely outdated.

I'm afraid you are experiencing the consequences of a problem with 
maintainance of the gEDA/gaf package in Debian.  Until that has been 
resolved, you can build gEDA/gaf from source.

Sorry for the inconvenience!  I'm working on this.
