Previous DJGPP distrbutions were done on DJ's indy, a big-endian machine. I think we want to preserve the possibility to cross-build on big-endian machines, in case some day that would be necessary again. Whether this is a sufficient reason to ask DJ to put indy on line depends on how much effort that would take ;-)
