It seems when they moved the old MSDOS software to old-gnu
in recent months they confused MSDOS vs WINDOWS software

on several occassions (emcas, PDFTEX) I got windows and non-8.3 versions
represented as MSDOS

Wondering if the SIMTEL CDROMs on archive.org are the only source?
