What change suddenly turned this friendly > coexistence into a collision? My guess would be that the newer versions of GCC emit more paranoid warnings, and AFAIR we build the library with -Werror. But it would be good to see the error messages, indeed. Apologies if they were already posted up-thread and I missed that.
