I am curious if anyone has a self-contained DJGPP-compiled Linux_Man-Page_Viewer ? I have created a simple one, a challenge to show some friends that installing Cygwin merely to view Man-Pages (and other things) is foolish.... Interpreting the script-like commands was relatively easy to do! Fonts and font_attributes were handled by using Colors! ----- I have also seen posts suggesting that the DJGPP 'info' application can view Linux Man-Pages; would seem to me someone was misinformed! Using DJGPP's info.exe program causes very peculiar behavior! For example, typing EXIT at a Windows9x dos prompt AFTER having used info.exe just once causes the invocation of info.exe !! I never understood why that happens; I tend to avoid many of these utilities because of behavior like this. It also adds many new items to the DOS environment string-pool... and for the rare use of info... Converting it to ordinary ascii text is still my favorite method! [certainly is faster to find things!] Replies to the group, and/or RadSurfer AT yahoo DOT com ICQ: 67890170
