It compiled, but just hangs :-( The point is this: I have the X11 libraries working (due to a patch from someone else) and am VERY interested in getting the latest Tk Wish running under DOS (for PythonD, of course :-). The last successful DOS TkWish port was 7.x using that ancient Desqview interface (R.I.P.), AFAIK. Ben
